Do You Have Problems with Your Porch Posts?

The porch had to be replaced on this American four square house from 1912. This is a direct result of using the petroleum oil paint or acrylic paint. These modern types of paint will trap the moisture in the wood and rot the wood from the inside.

It is interesting to realize that this type of deck designs have been around for 100’s of years but it appear that there was no major problems until the petroleum paint came into use. If purified linseed oil paint had been used, this porch would have been in perfect condition today.

To avoid a costly repair of a porch in the future, use organic linseed oil paint. Too many porches are getting destroyed! The savings with organic linseed oil paint is gigantic and may be greater then the value of your home over a lifetime. If you are rebuilding the porch, now is the best time to start the correct way.

Directions:

Apply the organic RAW linseed oil around the base of the columns and the end wood of the floor boards. Heat these areas with the Silent Paint remover to allow the raw linseed oil to soak into the wood for great rot protection.
Apply a thin coat of the organic boiled linseed oil on the entire surface.

After a day or two depending on the outside temperature minimum 50-60 degrees, apply 2 thin coats of the organic linseed oil paint on the surface. Allow a few days between coats. If the linseed oil paint soaks in unevenly, apply another coat of the linseed oil paint.

Maintenance: Clean the surface with the organic linseed oil soap. Pour the soap directly onto the surface. Activate the soap with a few drops of water. Scrub the surface with a stiff decks brush and rinse with your garden hose. No power washer is needed.

Protect your investment with organic linseed oil paint for 50 or 100 years!
